Our strategy is to complete projects that provide new gas ‘networks’ by combining the availability of LNG with a range of large and small scale generation solutions supported by LNG distribution infrastructure.

Small Scale LNG Value Chain

In many of the potential new markets for LNG the geography and/or existing grid infrastructure does not support traditional, large scale, CCGT power generation. To deliver LNG as an economic fuel for power generation in these circumstances it is vital to be able to deliver a solution where, small scale, locally situated, gas based power generation can be delivered.​

Understanding the challenge and the potential rewards RGL has invested significant resources in developing a small scale, gas based, generation model utlising a central LNG terminal as a ‘distribution centre’. In conjunction with experienced technical partners and leading suppliers of gas gensets we have developed a ‘hub and spoke’ distribution model that allows, small scale gas generation, in remote locations to both provide new sources of power and to substitute existing, expensive and environmentally damaging, heavy fuel oil based generation.​

Working in full partnership with our partners, Resero Gas delivers:​

Full initial design and feasibility study for each project. Tailored specifically to local power and infrastructure needs of each geography.

We prepare the Financial Model, Information Memorandum and all documentation needed to deliver funding.

Source development capital for each project. Limiting the teams exposure to the minimum level of feasibility costs.

Bring an internationally capable, expert team to support all aspects of the design and development of each project.

Structure the project to maximise the value and source the necessary funding (equity & debt) for construction.

Manage, with appointed partners, the construction and commissioning of each project.

Support our local partners in delivering key local requirements such as a site, power offtake agreements and local planning and permitting requirements.

Work with Insurance Brokers to minimize risk for the funding.

Work with Development Funding Institutions such as the IFC, ADB, EIB etc.

Funding Expertise

Resero Gas as promoters of projects have significant experience in raising Devex, Equity and Senior Debt to deliver large scale energy projects. Amongst them they have raised over the years more than US$25 Billion.

Resero Gas has been operating for almost 3 years using its own resources of capital to develop a business model of LNG to Power projects, which the promoters have identified as a perfect model to deploy the much needed power to various geographies in the world where it is promoting this model of projects based on the principles of ‘Project Finance Non-Recourse’.

Resero Gas promoters have a successful track record in realising similar projects having carried out various implementation studies at Leyte (LIDE), as well as having:

  1. Carried out the introduction of Natural Gas to Portugal, a project of over US$1.5 Billion, comprising a High Pressure Gas Network from Algeria to Portugal and a 1000 MW CCGT;​
  2. Been responsible for Shell activities for 8 years as Country Manager in the Philippines during the development of the ‘Malampaya Gas Fields’ as well as Country Manager of Canada.

Resero Gas being a new company has no Balance Sheet yet, but is supported by its partners and future equity holders who will give the adequate bank guarantees for the transaction to reach financial close.

Resero Gas works with Financial Institutions and Law Firms to structure ‘Equity’ and ‘Debt’ required by the SPC (Special Purpose Company) that is setup for each individual project with the objective of ‘ring-fencing’ the necessary guarantees, such as PPA’s, LNG Supply Agreements, Licences, etc.​

Adrian is an experienced senior leader with 40 years experience in the energy and extractive industry sectors. As President & CEO of Shell Philippines, Adrian was responsible for all in country activities (upstream & downstream) including a new refinery and the commissioning of the Malamaya gas field. Adrian is also a non-exec Director of Lafarge Holcim, Sherritt International & Alderon Iron Ore as well as a member of Navigant European Advisory Board.

Kiran has been working with Horacio for over 20 years, with multi-tasking, on PA services as well as Accounting, preparing spread sheets for accounting reconciliation, as well as preparing the books to submit to ’Accounts’ that prepare official accounts to the company, where she is responsible for that co-ordination. As PA she deals with Clients and Suppliers of the company and manages meetings setup, travelling, etc.
